Since October 7, the most common questions we hear from friends abroad are: How are you? How are the people of Israel? How are the believers coping? We cannot speak for millions; we can share what we personally feel and observe. The events of October 7 were 
profoundly traumatic. The original meaning of the word trauma is a tear in the tissue. Can the soul be torn? Yes, it can.
